Community Systems Development
Communication • Connection • Strategy
Strengthening existing programs, projects, and initiatives by identifying practical opportunities to expand capacity, participation, resources, and the connections between them.
Conservation + Restoration • Wildlife Advocacy • Heritage Skills + Traditional Crafts • Small Communities + Local Organizations
Hi! My name is Kelsey Phillips, and I work with small organizations, businesses, groups, programs, and places to identify where an existing program, project, or initiative could reach further, involve more people, make better use of available resources, or connect with other organizations and programs around it.
By assessing existing programs, projects, and initiatives, I help identify opportunities across capacity, participation, and resources. I then develop practical strategies around what I find and can work through implementation, including building programs, establishing partnerships, creating participation pathways, coordinating resources, and putting the structures needed to support them in place.
I’m looking to begin applying more of what I do across conservation and restoration, wildlife and animal advocacy, heritage skills and traditional crafts, and community life. Ultimately, I would like to help build more localized regional economies where participation is a normal part of life, with stronger connections among smaller organizations, places, resources, and people and practical ways for people to translate their skills, interests, knowledge, relationships, resources, and everyday activities into meaningful participation. By building structures that are viable in the present and sustainable over time, I hope to contribute to greater participation, stronger relationships, additional resources, and new opportunities as they emerge.
